The large section is popular with children with ample space for outdoor games within site of the lounge and deck. A trampoline is also situated next to the deck. Steps lead from the lawn onto a secluded part of Tapeka beach with a swimming pontoon just off shore. There is room to park the turn the boat trailer. The all tide boat ramp is just across the beach and the closest launching point to reach the many islands in the bay, a favourite fishing spot or to dive on the war ship Canterbury at Deep Water Cove
The ever popular swimming pontoon in front of the house The all tide swimming beach is sheltered from prevailing winds and swells. There are no rips or undertow. From the beach you can walk to Tapeka Point or around the rocks at low tide to two secluded beaches. New Zealand green lipped Mussels can be harvested at low tide from the rocks around Tapeka Point which is popular with surf casting fishermen.
Take the dinghy or a Kayak and explore the point and secluded bays or collect NZ Green Lipped Mussels at low tide around the point
Next to the section is a fresh water creek leading to the beach. This is popular play area with children of all ages who love to spend hours building dams and sand castles. It is even stocked with a few eels. At low tide explore the rock pools or collect shells
Volleyball in the reserve opposite Kick back on the deck and relax The gardens are well developed with many native trees and plants. Other parts of the site describe the Beach, Tapeka Point and Attractions and Views from the property.
